CEO Fraud Attackers Seek Personal Details, FBI Warns

The FBI is warning U.S. businesses of a new type of business email compromise scam. The FBI has revised its tally of losses attributed to BEC attacks at more than $3 billion through the end of May. Experts say two-factor authentication for email is not going to mitigate risks associated with BEC. The best way to reduce risk is to eliminate email approval for wire transfers, expert says.
