Canon quietly announced a Studio Version of the Canon EOS 7D, adding a slew of security features for pros who (begrudgingly) share their camera. It’ll also read barcode information and store it in a shot’s EXIF data. The camera also has four levels of locking, allowing for camera owners to determine which functions and settings can be accesses and changed. The new “Locking” feature allows administrators to disable unwanted features and settings thus providing professional studio operators the comfort of knowing the end result will be reliable and repeatable.”]
