Campari Group is behind liquor brands Aperol, SKYY, Grand Marnier and Wild Turkey. The company announced on Nov. 3 it was the victim of a Nov. 1 malware attack. The group behind the breach used Ragnar Locker to encrypt most of Campari s servers and was holding the data hostage for $15 million in Bitcoin. The ransom note said the scammers were able to steal a total of 2TB of data. Ransomware attacks have been on the rise since the beginning of the pandemic last spring.
