A reader correctly noted that I forgot to mention that many of the security tools out there are flawed, too. Ironically, the vulnerability is introduced by a class of firewalls cellular carriers use. Kaspersky Lab’s Flashfake Removal Tool was pulled for doing more than removing the Flashback malware attacking Mac machines. The reality is that bullet-proof security tools are as mythical as the silver-bullet variety.”]
