The number of brute-force attacks targeting remote desktop protocol connections used with Windows devices has steadily increased to 100,000 incidents per day in April and May, according to an analysis by security firm ESET. RDP is a proprietary Microsoft communications protocol that allows system administrators and employees to connect to corporate networks from remote computers.
