NCC Group releases its Origin of Hacks report for Q2 of 2012. 22.5 percent of all unauthorized network access attempts originated in the US. China was responsible for 15.8 percent of the monitored global total, and Russia for 13.3 percent. The UK has slipped from 7th to 9th, responsible for 2.1 percent of global hacks. The report is based on intrusion detection logs monitored by DShield, a cooperative network security community based in the U.S.”]
