Black Basta Claims Responsibility for AGCO Attack

Ransomware gang Black Basta has claimed responsibility for an online attack against U.S. agricultural equipment company AGCO Corp. AGCO confirmed employee data had been exfiltrated during the May 5, 2022, attack. AGCO declined to comment on whether the group was behind the attack or on the veracity of the data on the threat group’s website. The AGCO statement says most of its facilities have resumed production, enabling AGCO to continue serving the world’s farmers.
