OSX/Keydnap is a Mac-based malware that can steal passwords and execute remote commands on the Mac. Earlier this year, the BitTorrent client was used to spread a strand of Mac-related malware called KeRanger. It’s possible the site may have been hacked and then uploaded with a tainted version of the client, ESET said. The security firm has already removed the download, but users should check for signs that their Mac has been comprised.
