Bitdefender releases free decrypter for Darkside ransomware

Security firm Bitdefender has released a tool that allows victims of the Darkside ransomware to recover their files without paying the ransom. The decrypter seems to work for all recent versions of the Ransomware. The group is still active but has yet to publish data of its victims on its leak site. Like other ransomware gangs, operators threaten to leak files stolen from the victims if they dont pay the ransom. The group has to review their operations and improve their file encryption process to make the free decryption inefficient.”]
