Beware Keyloggers at Hotel Business Centers Krebs on Security

The U.S. Secret Service is advising the hospitality industry to inspect computers made available to guests in hotel business centers. Crooks have been compromising hotel business center PCs with keystroke-logging malware in a bid to steal personal and financial data from guests. The advisory lists several basic recommendations for hotels to help secure public computers, such as limiting guest accounts to non-administrator accounts that do not have the ability to install or uninstall programs. Most such security approaches can be defeated if users are allowed to insert CDs or USB-based Flash drives.”]
