Beware bogus anti-virus apps for Android and Windows Phone

Researchers at Kaspersky Lab have found a fake version of their anti-virus in the Windows Phone store. The company doesnt produce a product of that name, and the app simply does nothing. It also uses well-known brand names such as Symantec and Avira to trick users into buying the fake version. Last month a bogus version of Virus Shield duped thousands of Android users, who paid for an app incapable of finding malware, and driving it to the top of the charts.”]
