The FBI has launched a new campaign to prevent up to 350,000 computer users from losing Internet access this summer. A new Web site helps users determine if their machine is infected with the DNS Changer trojan. At the time an estimated 2 million machines worldwide, including a half million in the United States, were believed to be infected. At one point, half of all Fortune 500 and 27 of 55 government entitites were among the victims. Those that fail to clean their machines before the temporary DNS servers are taken down will have to use a peripheral to download AV software.”]
