Australian job seekers caught in Drake’s $US50k hacker ransom standoff

Hackers claim to have breached a server at Drake International’s Canadian operations last week. They claim they have personal information about 300,000 Australian, New Zealand, British and Canadian job seekers. Drake International says it ‘won’t be blackmailed’ and will not negotiate with hackers. Canadian Drake executive Tony Scala said the breach was ‘limited in scope’ and ‘old’ Drake will not pay the group $50,000 by the end of this week. It’s not known how many Australian candidates’ records were in the stolen database.”]
