Attack on Kronos Causes Sainsbury’s Payroll System Outage

U.K. supermarket chain Sainsbury’s says it suffered outage in its payroll system caused by a cyberattack. The U.S.-based payroll service supplier, Ultimate Kronos Group, was hit by a similar cyberattack a week earlier. The attack affected the Kronos Private Cloud – or KPC – environment that hosts UKG Workforce Central, UKG TeleStaff, Healthcare Extensions, and Banking Scheduling Solutions. The company says it has mobilized all available resources to support customers and are working diligently to restore the affected services.”]
