Attack allows OS X malware to piggyback on your webcam, while its in use

A new Mac malware allows Mac malware to record video and audio whenever a victim turns on their webcam, without drawing attention to itself. The attack has been described by Synacks Patrick Wardle, who in the past uncovered a way to bypass GateKeeper and developed possible exploits for the Rootpipe security flaw. Wardle has developed a tool that protects against piggybacking OS X webcam attacks. The tool is absolutely free and is available at the Virus Bulletin 2016 conference in Denver, Colorado.”]
