At Yahoo, reporting a phisher means getting by the company’s anti-phishing filters first

Yahoo has come up with an innovative new way to cut down on abuse of its free Yahoo Mail service: simply pretend it doesn’t exist. Yahoo wants you to report phishing to the easy-to-remember [email protected] address, rather than the industry standard [email protected]. Yahoo is a deeply troubled company and keeping phishers from using its services is ugly, labor intensive (read expensive) work, but obviously it’s doing a little less of it tonight.”]
