Apple customers less confident about data security, claims survey

The Ponemon Institute has published its ‘2012 Most Trusted Companies for Privacy’ survey data. 100,000 American adults were asked to rate organisations that they felt were most likely to keep their information private. Apple is no longer among the most trusted companies in the US. The Mac Observer speculates that Apple may have fallen from favour following a number of recent privacy scandals. Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Dell, AOL, Samsung, and Nokia were left off the list. Microsoft was ranked 17 having not ranked at all in 2011.”]
