Anti-phishing in Google Chrome a shaky work in progress

Chrome’s anti-phishing feature is available in the test version of Google’s Chrome Canary version 36.0.1975.0. The feature would try to show the root domain of a website to make it easier for a person to distinguish between a legitimate and bogus site. Chrome trails IE in its ability to protect users landing on malicious websites through phishing attacks. Chrome and IE use a combination of URL filtering and application reputation technology to detect bogus URLs and malware. Chrome Canary is intended for developers and early adopters of the browser.”]
