Cyber Fighters launched another distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack against the websites of Regions Financial Corp and SunTrust. The computer attacks burden the bank websites with heavy traffic volume that causes slow service for the sites or makes them completely unavailable. The attacks are in response to a video uploaded to YouTube ridiculing the Prophet Muhammad and offending some Muslims. The banks are likely improving their defensive techniques, says cyber-security expert Richard Pascual, but they are likely to improve their techniques.
