Anonymous Reportedly Hacked Russian Energy Firm Rosneft

Hacktivist collective Anonymous reportedly hacked German subsidiary of Russian energy company Rosneft, German newspaper reports. German cybersecurity watchdog issues cybersecurity warning to other companies in the energy sector. Anonymous is less a specific group and more a focus for individual activity, analyst says. Attackers reference weak and easily guessed iPhone passwords and use of FTP to exfiltrate data without detection, expert says. The attack did not affect business operations, but some systems were affected and processes were disrupted, report says.”]
