Android Malware: Joker Still Fools Google’s Defense, New Clicker Found

New Joker malware that subscribes Android users to premium services without consent is giving Google a hard time as new samples constantly bypass scrutiny and end up in Play Store. The malware is a spyware and premium dialer that can access notifications, read and send SMS texts. The subscription process is invisible to the user as the URLs for the premium services are opened in a hidden webview. Google has removed nearly 600 apps from the official Android store and banned from its ad platforms, Google AdMob and Google Ad Manager.
