Anatomy of the New Adobe Flash Exploit

Researchers have seen the exploit being used in active attacks against the latest zero-day vulnerability in Adobe Flash. Adobe is set to patch the vulnerability in Flash tomorrow. The exploit is a modified version of a harmless SWF file that is only one byte different from the original file. The malicious Flash file uses a bug that experts say is a boundary check error in pre-allocated memory, according to an analysis of the exploit by researchers at Websense.
