Analysis: Opposition to Google’s DoubleClick Deal Mounting

Group of 12 Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives called for hearings on the DoubleClick merger. Group: “Without an in-depth examination, we and the American public will not fully understand what all of those implications are” Google has repeatedly defended its privacy record, saying its company was one of the first to announce it would anonymize the captured IP (Internet Protocol) addresses of its users, in Googles case after 18 months.
