Two critical severity bugs have been publicly disclosed that impact Amcrest HDSeries model IPM-721S cameras. The vulnerabilities open the consumer-grade ($50) Wi-Fi cameras to complete takeover by remote, unauthenticated attackers. The most serious of the bugs have a Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) rating of 9.8 and 10. A senior security researcher at Synopsys, Mandar Satam, found the six security flaws in the camera back in 2017.
