A Second State Hits EmblemHealth With Breach Fine

New Jersey announced a $100,000 settlement in the case involving EmblemHealth. New Jersey attorney general Gurbir Grewal said the breach affected 6,443 New Jersey customers. EmblemHealth agreed to pay the civil penalty and implement corrective actions in the breach. New York-based EmblemHealth is of the nation’s largest not-for-profit health insurers. In March, EmblemHealth settled a $575,000 breach with New York’s attorney general’s office in another health data security case.”]
