A new report says ad blocking is increasing worldwide

Global ad blocking grew by 30% in 2016 driven by increasing usage on desktop and mobile. Asia-Pacific is the biggest geographical driver of mobile ad blocking usage, according to PageFairs 2017 Ad Block Report. Ad blocking poses a major threat to digital media companies that depend on advertising for revenue. There are several solutions that publishers can use to combat the growing ad-blocking problem, including education, technical solutions, and micropayments. The biggest ad block users by age group are 25-34 year-olds, at 23%, and over 65s are the least frequent ad blockers.”]
