Microsoft has changed GitHub’s policy regarding the creation of private repositories. Users of the GitHub Free plan can now create an unlimited amount of private repos. Microsoft previously acquired GitHub on June 4, 2018, with the deal having a $7.5 billion price tag in Microsoft stock and GitHub’s CEO Chris Wanstrath becoming a Microsoft technical fellow. GitHub Experience is a newly launched product encompassing the Enterprise Server and Enterprise Cloud (formerly GitHub Enterprise) and GitHub Pro packages. GitHub Pro and GitHub Team packages will be provided with the same albeit limited toolset.
