Hardware hacker Samy Kamkar has developed an anonymization device called ProxyGambit that improves upon ProxyHam, the device that was supposed to be unveiled at DEF CON. Ben Caudill s scheduled DEF CON demonstration of ProxyHam was canceled on July 10. Kamkar says his device allows a user to access the Internet from anywhere without revealing their physical location. He said his approach makes it several times more difficult to determine where the original traffic is coming from and makes it harder to find out who was on the other side of the device.
