Marcus Hutchins (MalwareTech) Gets $30,000 Bail, But Can’t Leave United States

Marcus Hutchins, 23, is set to be released on $30,000 bail on Monday. He is accused of creating and distributing the infamous Kronos banking malware. Hutchins was arrested at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas after attending Def Con event. He was also charged with five other counts, including wiretapping and violating Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. If convicted, Hutchins could face a maximum of 40 years in jail if found guilty of six counts of hacking-related charges.
