Hackers Launch DDoS Attack on D.C. Government Websites

Hackers attack D.C. government websites, clogging system with flurry of requests. DDoS attacks have been launched by a variety of groups such as Anonymous and LulzSec. Attackers clog system with requests so that it operates extremely slow or is impossible to load. In January the group launched a similar attack against the UFC for its support of the Stop Online Piracy Act that was debated by Congress earlier this year. In February the group also attacked UFC for supporting the controversial anti-piracy bill.
