Researcher calls on Apple, Google, govts to stop spread of phone scams

Phone and SMS scams are being carried out across Australia, the U.S. and other countries. Around 45% of scams in Australia (and likely other countries) are by phone and text message, researcher says. Government agencies do little to tackle these types of scams, says researcher. Google and Apple should incorporate the information in their software to prevent scams from unfolding, he says.
