Five class action lawsuits have been filed in federal court against Premera Blue Cross in the wake of a data breach that affected 11 million individuals across the country. Meanwhile, its CEO has provided answers to questions from a U.S. senator regarding the hacker attack. The suits are seeking unspecified damages, both “actual and statutory” in the aftermath of the incident.
