2020 Caribbean Economic Forum and St. Kitts and Nevis

  • The event focused on building a digital economy and the minister updated her counterparts of St. Kitts and Nevis’ position re the Federation’s digital footprint. She stated although COVID-19 would’ve slowed progress, they’re in the process of getting back on track.
  • The path towards digital transformation aids their vision to make St. Kitts and Nevis a world leader in digital services delivery for citizens, the private sector, and investors. They plan to do this in a safe, efficient, interactive, and responsive manner which improves economic growth.
  • The development of the Government Technology Strategy and our Cybersecurity Strategy is being embarked upon as their cybersecurity strategy is tied to the development of technology strategy to strengthen secure data storage and processing. The path they are on is believed to yield many benefits for now and years to come.
