Yahoo unveils single-use ‘on demand’ passwords

Yahoo introduced “on demand” passwords to its email service in the U.S. Yahoo’s on-demand passwords may sound similar to two-factor authentication, but it is not the same thing as it only requires one step. The single-use passwords are similar to clicking “I forgot my password” every time you try to sign into email. Last year, Yahoo said it would come out with a plug-in to provide end-to-end encryption for all its users in 2015. Yahoo did roll out the source code for security researchers to pour over for potential bugs.”]
