Yahoo! Sued After Breach

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Yahoo! after a data breach exposed the usernames and passwords of more than 400,000 users. Jeff Allan of New Hampshire is the only victim named in the lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges Yahoo! failed to adequately safeguard his and others’ personal information. A hacking group called D33Ds Company took responsibility for the attack. “Of those, less than 5 percent of the Yahoo! accounts had valid passwords,” Yahoo! said in a statement. “There have been many security holes exploited in webservers belonging to Yahoo!””]
