Workforce Development: Reducing Barriers to Entry

John McCumber is director of cybersecurity advocacy at (ISC)2. His non-profit organization is continuing to attempt to lower barriers to entry into the field. Government efforts are also helping to foster more cybersecurity education, training and workforce development, he says. McCumber previously worked as a director at Gartner, a senior manager at Mandiant and served as chairman of TechAmerica’s cybersecurity committee. He’s also held positions at RSA, Symantec and Agilent and was a cryptologic fellow at the National Security Agency.”]
