Windows zero-day flaw bypasses UAC!

Troj/EUDPoC-A is a proof-of-concept attack on Windows that bypasses the User Access Control protections introduced in Windows Vista. The flaw is thought to exist in all versions of Windows from XP onwards – including Windows 2008 R2 and fully-patched Windows 7 systems. No fix for the issue is available from Microsoft, but so far there has been no word as to an estimated release date for a fix. Sophos has a workaround for the flaw, but it is unlikely to offer protection against maliciously modified variants.
