Microsoft has given us another sneak peek into their upcoming Windows 10 Sun Valley design update with a refresh of the Windows system icons. Microsoft has been storing their system icons for folders, devices, settings, control panels, and applications in the C:WindowsSystem32Shell32.dll file. In Windows 10 20H2, there are currently 334 icons in Shell32.DLL that have not been updated in quite some time. The Sun Valley update is expected to be released in Fall 2021. Not all of the icons have been updated yet but will likely be done or removed altogether.
