Wikipedia DDoS Attacks Prompt NCSC to Remind of DoS Mitigation

UK’s National Cyber Security Centre urges organizations worried about Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks to implement mitigation measures following a worldwide Wikipedia outage. Wikipedia was down for some users in the U.S., Europe, the UK, and the Middle East throughout September 6 and September 7 after massive DDoS attacks that crippled the Wikimedia servers hosting most Wikipedia projects. UK government organization urges all organizations troubled about being the target of similar attacks in the future to read and implement the mitigation measures detailed in its DoS guidance.
