Bradley Manning, alleged source of Wikileaks US embassy cables, is technically a British citizen. He is currently held in a maximum security jail in Virginia. He was born in the US and grew up in Wales, but has dual nationality with the US. Amnesty International calls on the UK government to intervene on his behalf. He has been held in solitary confinement 23 hours a day, shackled by his feet and hands when he has a visitor. The human rights organisation calls for his treatment to meet international standards.”]
