MITRE has released a report on the detect, response and containment of various solutions against malware created by FIN7 and CARBANAK threat groups. MITRE study highlights the increasing disconnect between labels attributed to a product and requirements that companies typically expect from an endpoint solution. Pricing and cost are conspicuously absent from all product reviews, which are missing from all of the important caveats that are missing in product reviews: budget. Endpoint protection is no longer just about protecting devices from malware, but it’s no longer about just about protection.
