Global ATM fraud losses increased 18 percent to 156 million (U.S. $177.5 million) in the first half of this year. Most of those ATM losses are being reported within non-EMV-compliant markets, such as the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. Fraudsters are using techniques that will prove effective at self-service channels even after the EMV rollout for these devices is complete.
