Website of Phone and texting app Viber Hacked & Defaced by Syrian Electronic Army

Syrian Electronic Army hacked the website and database of the Israeli-based Viber app. The SEA hacked the support page of the Viber app and uploaded screenshots of one of the app systems in addition to the app administrators names/phone numbers. It is unclear if the acquired information will be used against anyone or if it has been sent to the Syrian government but hackers are keen that this app was spying on its users and users should not use this app. At the time of publishing this article, deface page was removed and support site was taken down.
