Websense is offering its data-loss prevention (DLP) suite free for 30 days under a “DLP for Download” program. The program is intended to provide a quick way to evaluate the effectiveness of the software. The roughly 600MB download is the full enterprise Websense Data Security Suite. Websense is considered a market leader in DLP, along with companies such as Symantec and McAfee. The move to offer the suite for free comes at a time when some in the industry say DLP tools are becoming expensive shelfware.”]
