A new video released by Elon Musk’s Neuralink shows a monkey playing Pong using its embedded brain-human interface. Scientists embedded a BMI on both sides of the monkey’s brain and used its over 2,000 electrodes and a smoothy reward to teach the monkey how to play Pong. After a few minutes of training, Neuralink was able to control the paddle using the brain activity. Musk hopes that the Neuralink interface will eventually allow paralyzed people to walk again, restore sensory function or even control technology as if we were in a William Gibson novel.
