Google removes extension from Chrome Web Store for containing malware. The Great Suspender was used by millions of Chrome users. It stealthily added features that could be exploited to execute arbitrary code from a remote server. The extension’s original developer is said to have sold the extension in June 2020 to an unknown entity, according to The Register. Microsoft blocked the extension from Microsoft Edge browsers last November. Users can recover the extension using a workaround on GitHub (v7.1.6) by enabling Developer mode.
