VMWare has shipped a massive batch of critical security updates to cover 48 security holes in a wide range of servers and workstation products. The vulnerabilities affect the DHCP Server,DHCP Client, Service Console kernel and Java Runtime Environment. At least one of the documented vulnerabilities date back to 2007 while there are numerous dating back to 2008. Some of the flaws carry arbitration code execution risk while others expose users to denial-of-service attacks. The updates cover a range of products from workstation to workstation.
