Visa Incents ‘Dynamic Authentication’

Visa Incents ‘Dynamic Authentication’ encourages merchants to move toward dynamic data authentication. EMV chip technology makes such a move possible in the U.S. The program takes effect March 31. Visa estimates about one-third of the world’s payment cards and about two-thirds of its payments terminals support EMV. The goal is to eliminate eligible international merchants from annual validations of their compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Other types of dynamic authentication are being encouraged by Visa.”]
