Viacom exposed the keys to its cloud-based servers on an unsecured Amazon S3 cloud storage bucket. Among the exposed data exposed was the company’s master key to its Amazon Web Services account. The media giant said there’s no evidence anyone had abused its data. The leaked credentials would have been enough for hackers to take down the media giant’s internal IT infrastructure and internet presence, allowing them to access cloud servers belonging to MTV, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures.
