Using better data to fight credit card fraud

The U.S. leads the way in fraud, accounting for between one-fifth to one-third of all credit card fraud. The industry considers a fraud rate of 0.005 percent to be good. Credit card fraud rates are 0.001 percent, but that still equates to tens-of-billions of dollars in fraudulent transactions. Galileo Processing claims it has pushed down false-negatives and false-positives (something the industry labels as precision) to well below the industry average.”]
